Tuesday - The experience of knowing, especially Mrs. Robertson - is more than I could hope for. We had a long talk when I got home tonight - “We just learn to ignore so much of the way white people treat us” she said - “We can’t be violent - they just want an excuse to kill us.” - Incredible it is! These are people - human beings! Can no one understand? - To think of - how for hundreds of years they’ve known nothing but being cramped in their living. Freedom certainly is the word for what we all need!!! The office and center were cleaned today - Things are looking up!’ A new man from Des Moines is here today - A layman from Rev. Thomason’s church....truly a brave man! - It’s great!!
